Education + Tutorials
I almost failed my first statistics class. And I say this at the beginning of every class I teach now, because statistics, math, and having confidence in numbers can be difficult and unintuitive. I get it! And this is why seeing my students' and teammates' eyes light up when they get it is one of my favorite things in the world. (This is is part of what fueled the birth of The Writing Lab: how can we help people get it more easily?) As a researcher and scientific communicator, my job is to make content accessible, digestible, and fun. Please see a few of my attempts to do this below.

[Coming Soon] Souped-Up Surveys: Dancing on the line between quant and qual
This is a situation I find myself in often: stakeholders want to know "how to put a number on it", but aren't quite sure how. And it's remarkably easy to do this! Read on to learn more about a few different ways to do so.

Partial Least Squares Correspondence Analysis: Diving into the blend of quant and qual
This is a highly technical paper I wrote in my upper-level statistics course in graduate school on a unique statistical analysis method to evaluate quantitative and qualitative data together in the same variance space.
